Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 11, 2026
1. Overview
MetricScope ("MetricScope", "we", "us", or "our") provides analytics tools that help users review performance information from social media accounts they choose to connect. This Privacy Policy explains the information we process, why we process it, and the choices available to users.
2. Information we may process
When a user connects a supported account through an official authorization flow, we may receive information permitted by the user and the applicable platform. Depending on permissions, this may include:
- Basic profile information such as display name, profile image, username, and platform account identifier.
- Account statistics such as follower count, following count, total likes, and number of published videos.
- Public video information and performance metrics such as video identifiers, descriptions, publishing time, duration, views, likes, comments, and shares.
- Authorization information required to maintain the connection, such as access and refresh tokens.
- Basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide requested analytics, organize account and video performance data, calculate performance insights, maintain authorized connections, improve reliability, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable legal and platform requirements.
4. Authorization and third-party platforms
MetricScope accesses connected platform data only after the user completes the relevant platform's authorization process and grants the requested permissions. MetricScope does not claim private access to accounts that have not authorized the service.
5. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information. We may use service providers when reasonably necessary to host, secure, maintain, or operate MetricScope. Such providers may process information only for the services they provide to us and subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Connected account data and authorization tokens may be deleted or invalidated after disconnection or a valid deletion request, subject to limited legal or security retention requirements.
7. User choices and deletion requests
Users may revoke MetricScope's access through the relevant platform where available. Users may also request deletion of MetricScope-held account data by contacting support@metricscope.xyz.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
MetricScope is intended for business and professional analytics use and is not directed to children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our service, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
